Borrowed Time A Unique Perk For Bill Overbeck

Borrowed Time: A Unique Perk for Bill Overbeck

Subtle yet Effective

Borrowed Time is a unique perk belonging to Bill Overbeck that grants the player an unexpected surge of energy when saving an ally from a hook. The perk extends the ally's Endurance status effect by an additional 6810 seconds, providing a crucial window of opportunity to escape the killer's grasp.

A History of Borrowed Time

Prior to a recent update, Borrowed Time's duration was limited to 12 seconds. However, the update increased the duration to 15 seconds, effectively extending its range by 12 meters. This change has made Borrowed Time a more viable option for survivors, as it now provides a longer window of opportunity to reach a pallet or window and reset the chase.

A Counter to Tunneling

Another significant advantage of Borrowed Time is its ability to counter tunneling, a strategy employed by some killers to repeatedly target a specific survivor. By extending the Endurance status effect, Borrowed Time makes it more difficult for killers to down the rescued survivor immediately, giving them a better chance of escaping.

Despite the introduction of a mini version of Borrowed Time for all survivors, the original perk remains a valuable addition to any survivor's arsenal. Its ability to provide an unexpected burst of speed and protection during critical moments makes it a formidable perk for countering tunneling and increasing the chances of survival.
