Munguia Comes Forward with the Jab, Looks for More
Jaime Munguia came out strong against Canelo Alvarez, throwing the jab frequently and looking to close the distance. He had some success in the early rounds, but Alvarez was able to adjust and take control of the fight as it went on.
Alvarez Dominates Later Rounds
In the later rounds, Alvarez was able to use his superior boxing skills to outclass Munguia. He landed clean punches from both hands and was able to keep Munguia at bay with his jab. Munguia was never able to mount a serious challenge, and Alvarez cruised to a unanimous decision victory.
