General Hospital Wins Big, Dick Van Dyke Makes History

Kelly Clarkson Show Earns Five Wins, Netflix Leads Networks

The 2023 Daytime Emmy Awards, held on Friday night, celebrated the best in daytime television. General Hospital led the night with five wins, including Outstanding Drama Series. Dick Van Dyke, the 97-year-old actor, made history by winning his first Daytime Emmy Award.

The Kelly Clarkson Show also had a successful night, winning five awards including Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host. Netflix led all networks and platforms with nine wins, including Outstanding Children's Programming for "Ada Twist, Scientist."

• Outstanding Game Show Host: Wayne Brady (Let's Make a Deal)

The Daytime Emmy Awards have recognized top achievements in daytime television for nearly five decades. The awards are presented annually by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS).
